Indoor Cricket at Sam's Indoor Sports Centre

Indoor Cricket is a fast-paced and exciting version of traditional cricket, played indoors in a smaller, enclosed court. It’s perfect for beginners and cricket lovers alike, offering all the thrill of cricket with more action, quicker games, and constant involvement for all players.

How the Game Works:
Indoor Cricket is played with two teams of 8 players. Just like outdoor cricket, the game involves batting, bowling, and fielding — but the indoor setting adds unique twists to keep things fast and fun!

Key Rules for Beginners:

• Each team bats in pairs for a set number of 4 overs per pair, and every player gets a chance to bat and bowl.
• If a batter is dismissed, they lose 5 runs but continue batting until their 4 overs are up.
• The ball is always in play, and batters can score runs by running between the wickets or by hitting the ball into the nets.

Scoring System:

• Runs are scored by running between the wickets and hitting specific zones on the nets:
  • Side net = 1 run
  • Back net (along the ground) = 4 runs
  • Back net (on the full) = 6 runs
• Each team starts at 0 runs, and the final score is the total after deducting any runs lost from dismissals.
• The team with the highest score at the end of the game wins.

• Indoor Cricket at Sam’s Indoor Sports Centre is a great way to stay active, enjoy team spirit, and have loads of fun — rain or shine! No experience needed, just come ready to play!

  Equipment Availability:

• We can provide Bats and Balls to play the game. But if you need additional equipment like pads and male box protectors etc., you need to bring your own.
