ONLINE COURT BOOKING & CANCELLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Welcome to Sam’s Indoor Sports Centre! Our pool tables are available for casual games, practice, and friendly competitions. To make sure everyone enjoys their time, please read the following information before booking.

General Information

• Booking: Tables must be booked in advance online or at reception. Walk-ins are welcome but subject to table availability.
• Session Duration: Standard booking is 1 hour per table. Extra time may be purchased if available.
• Equipment: Pool cues, balls, chalk, and racks are provided. You may also bring your own cue.
• Attire: Casual sportswear is encouraged. Please wear closed-in shoes (no thongs/slippers).
• Age Requirement: Players under 12 years must be supervised by an adult.
• Food & Drink: Only water bottles are allowed near the tables. Please use the lounge area for food and other drinks.

Booking Rules

1. Arrive on Time – Bookings are held for 10 minutes past the scheduled start. After this, the table may be given to waiting players.
2. One Table per Group – Each group may book only one table at a time during peak hours.
3. Extension of Play – Additional time can be booked if no one else is waiting.
4. Cancellations – Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance so others can use the table.
5. Respect Shared Spaces – Please finish your game on time and leave the table area clean.

Table & Equipment Rules

• Do not sit or place drinks/food on the pool tables.
• No jumping shots unless using proper technique (to avoid table damage).
• Use cues and balls with care—do not slam, throw, or drop them.
• Chalk must be applied over the floor (not on the table surface).
• Damaged equipment must be reported immediately to staff.
• Customers will be responsible for damage caused by misuse.

Game Rules (General Pool / 8-Ball)

• Lag or Coin Toss decides who breaks.
• Legal Break: At least 4 balls must hit the rails, or the break is illegal.
• Groups (Stripes/Solids): Determined once a ball is legally potted after the break.
• Calling Shots: Players should clearly call their intended ball and pocket.
• Fouls Include:
  • Cue ball potted (scratch).
  • Hitting the wrong group first.
  • Failing to hit any ball.
  • Potting the 8-ball before clearing your group.
• Winning the Game: Potting all your group (stripes/solids), then legally potting the 8-ball in the declared pocket.

(Note: Other formats such as 9-ball or straight pool may be played by mutual agreement between players.)

Centre Regulations

• Players participate at their own risk.
• Management is not liable for injuries caused by unsafe play or negligence.
• Damage to tables, balls, or cues caused by misuse will be charged to the customer.
• Sam’s Indoor Sports Centre may close or restrict access to tables during tournaments or maintenance (advance notice will be given).
